About Blockly Turtle

Blockly Turtle is the modern version of the legendary Logo turtle: program a turtle to draw squares, stars, spirals and snowflakes by snapping movement and pen blocks together. It's coding and art at the same time.

How to play Blockly Turtle

Combine blocks like "move forward by 100" and "turn right by 90" — wrapped in repeat loops — then press Run Program and watch the turtle draw your shape. Match the target drawing to pass each level.

Questions & answers

What does Blockly Turtle teach?
Loops, angles and decomposition: a star is just "repeat 5 times: forward, turn 144°". Kids discover geometry by drawing it — the same idea Seymour Papert's Logo turtle pioneered in classrooms.
Can kids draw their own pictures?
Yes — the final level is a free-draw canvas where they can program any picture they can imagine.
Is Blockly Turtle free?
Free and browser-based on crumble.lol, from Google's open-source Blockly Games.
