About Blockly Bird

Blockly Bird teaches one of programming's biggest ideas — the if/else decision — by asking kids to program a bird: fly toward the worm when you don't have it, then bring it home to the nest. Conditions and angles, disguised as bird logic.

How to play Blockly Bird

Build the bird's brain from condition blocks: "if no worm, head toward the worm; else head toward the nest." Set headings in degrees, press Run Program, and watch your logic fly.

Questions & answers

What does Blockly Bird teach?
Conditional logic — if/else statements — plus a sneaky bit of geometry, since kids aim the bird using angles in degrees. It's the third game in Google's Blockly Games series.
What age is Blockly Bird for?
Best after Blockly Maze, roughly ages 8–13. The angle-based headings make it a nice bridge between coding and math.
Is Blockly Bird free?
Yes, free in your browser on crumble.lol — no downloads or accounts.
